About us

Old Fashioned Service you can count on.

Do you long for the bygone era when health service providers operated their own businesses? For our local community those days have returned. Acute Hearing is a family operated hearing and audiological clinic where we settle for nothing but the best outcomes for our patients.

"I was very impressed with the professionalism of James and Emma. I felt they were primarily concerned with doing the best thing for me rather than just selling me a hearing aid."
William Whelan Gladesville

Unlike most hearing clinics in Sydney, Acute Hearing is family operated. One of the key reasons we opened Acute Hearing was driven by our need to identify the best treatments for our patients from the full range of available solutions from all leading manufacturers. You will also be impressed with the new technologies that allow you to hear well and are so easily integrated into your life.

See the Same Audiologist Every Time

Each time you visit Acute Hearing you see the same audiologist each time. We genuinely care and want to educate our local community about hearing loss and the variety of solutions available that meet all budgets, lifestyles and hearing needs. We conduct free hearing aid trials providing us with feedback directly from our community on the latest release hearing aids.

You get to make an informed decision.

How can you be sure which hearing aid is right for you?

At Acute Hearing, we believe the only way to know which hear aid is right for you is to experience the benefits in your day-to-day life. That is why we created a hassle free, no pressure process that truly puts you in the driver seat. Here is how it works:

  • Make an appointment for an initial hearing evaluation;
  • Take home the most appropriate hearing aids for you. We allow you to try many different types and price levels with no commitment or deposit required; and
  • Take your time evaluating which hearing aids suit you best.

Preventative Healthcare Approach

We work with Doctors and Ear Nose and Throat Specialists across Drummoyne (DMC, Drummoyne General Practice), Abbotsford, (Abbotsford Family Medical Practice, Abbotsford Cove Medical Centre), Hunters Hill Medical Practice, Gladesville, Ryde, Balmain (Rozelle Total Health, Rozellle Medical Centre) and Five Dock (First Avenue Medical Practice, Five Dock Medical Centre) to increase the awareness of preventative hearing healthcare.

In West Pennant Hills we work with Doctors at Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Carlingford, Epping, North Epping, Beecroft, Galston, Dural, Hornsby, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills, Normanhurst and Wahroongha.
